Starting today for the customers of the three telephone companies – Vodafone, Tim and Wind – the cell phone becomes an instrument with which to buy digital contents to be utilised on different devices. The cost will then be deducted each week from telephone credit or included in the bill.
Just one click suffices to purchase the contents over the cell phone. If instead you access from other platforms, such as computers and iPads, all you have to do is enter your cell phone number, verify it through a code, and that’s it. A data encryption system guarantees the security of the transaction. From that time on the telephone number will be valid as an identification system and gateway to access all the contents of the Group on different devices. With Credit Card the prepaid systems, such as iTunes, remain separate (€19.99 per month/ €179.99 per year).
“Pass” includes the following: the Repubblica + application, offering the digital reproduction of the daily, enrichments with video and photo galleries, and supplements D and “Venerdì Repubblica Mobile.” It is the Repubblica site optimised for cell phones. In part free of charge and in part for payment (freemium formula), it offers the best of Repubblica.it and of the paper daily with a format designed for smart phones and for all cell phones able to access the Web.
On digital, the Repubblica system is based on three brand names:
“Repubblica +” which identifies the whole premium world (newspaper, supplements, enrichments); “Repubblica mobile” (mixed freemium model), the best of Rep.it and of the daily optimised for all cell phones, in part free of charge and in part for payment; and Repubblica.it, the first Italian language information site in real time on the Web, free of charge.

HOW MUCH
The cost is €3.5O per week, with a recurrent charge (you pay until you discontinue the service). Soon the single copy will also make its debut (the price will be 79 cents).
